✮✮✮✮✮ My husband and I happened to stop at Cielo for a meal in August, and we really enjoyed everything about the experience. The food was great, service was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. We stopped in again yesterday for an early dinner to celebrate our anniversary. Everything was even better the second time. I tried, and loved, the off-menu pasta special. My husband stayed with the same chicken dish that he had enjoyed so much on our first visit. We’ll be back!

✮✮✮✮✮ The food is very good but the service is what makes this restaurant stand out. The owners are fabulous and attentive. They made us feel like family. There were 6 of us for a late lunch and we were having such a good time we did not want to leave. The homemade bread is outstanding and the food is very good. I will return here every time I am in NYC and would recommend to anyone. Price is so reasonable especially when you consider the location!!

✮✮✮✮✮ Perfect! Portions, People, Value, Flavor. This was a place I looked up on Yelp and it was spot on Perfect! I will return.

✮✮✮✮✮ Amazing drinks, food and service! Come before or after a show, or at any point during the day or evening. Awesome wall of dollar bills you can contribute to. Always a good time!

✮✮✮✮ This restaurant is wonderful! Came in with a friend before a show (The Last Ship- it’s AMAZING – so sad to see it close!) Walked into the restaurant, was warmly greeted by the bartender/host/waitress and promptly seated. The decor was cute, it was reminiscent of a cabin in the mountains, not necessarily an Italian restaurant in the heart of the theater district. I ordered the grilled chicken with fettuccine in a pesto sauce and my friend ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. (They were both specials for the night). My meal came out piping hot and was delicious! For the price, they really give you a large portion. I was so stuffed at the end of the meal, my friend had to roll me out of the building! Pasta was cooked al denté, and they definitely didn’t skimp on the protein! I definitely recommend this place! Esp if you arrive around 5:30- its perfect timing to catch a 7:00 show!

✮✮✮✮✮ I decided to come here because this restaurant is 5 feet away from the theater for Book of Mormon, and I only had about an hour before showtime. We got the caprese salad as an appetizer. I ordered the chicken piccata and my brother ordered the capellini giramonte. We also got a slice of cheesecake for dessert. The food here was so much better than I had expected. All the flavors were rich, creamy and delicious. We did pretty well with price, and came away spending about 60 bucks.

✮✮✮✮✮ This place is a gem in the middle of Times Square. It’s a cozy restaurant with excellent food at ridiculously good prices and not noisy at all. My friends and I needed to make a show by 8PM and they had us in and out within 40 minutes (oh yea… we were also running late to dinner). We got the prosciutto and melon and caprese to share. My friends got a chicken salad, and two of us got pasta. I had the spinach and mushroom with garlic and olive oil linguine. A healthy portion (I probably should’ve stopped at a third of the dish… oops). The pasta was cooked perfectly (slightly al dente). My friend got the Spaghetti Alla Bolognese. So creamy and meaty and hearty. Three mains and two huge appetizers, and the meal was less than $30/pp with tip. Bellissimo!

My fave place. I want my ashes scattered on 49th and Broadway, right in front.

We loved Cielo’s. The food was great. The service was great. The drinks were exceptional. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We will definitely go back.

How do you put Cielo into words? It’s Joe schmoozing from table to table, it’s the continuity of the menu and the food, it’s the perfectly picked jazz playing in the background and an occasional touch of Paul Schaeffer sitting quietly at the bar so unpretentious and acting like any other guy. I miss the old place but will take this one in a heartbeat over any other place in midtown.
